A few words about

The Laboratory of Advanced Visualization Technologies at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague focuses on the use of modern tools for the creation, processing, and presentation of 3D data in the fields of civil engineering, architecture, and cultural heritage preservation. Its main activities include working with digital models, their visualization, and interpretation using advanced display technologies, including virtual and augmented reality.

A significant area of activity is the documentation of heritage objects, their subsequent processing into 3D models, and their presentation for research, educational, and public dissemination purposes. The laboratory primarily utilizes methods such as photogrammetry and laser scanning, as well as game engines and specialized visualization hardware, including VR/AR/XR devices and other advanced display technologies.

The laboratory serves as a space for teaching, research, and experimental validation of new approaches, particularly in the field of interactive data presentation and the handling of complex 3D scenes. An important aspect is also the testing of various tools and workflows for efficient 3D content creation and its practical application.

The aim of the laboratory is to develop new methods for working with visualization technologies, support interdisciplinary collaboration, and prepare students for the use of current digital tools in a professional environment.
