The topic's subject is numerical and experimental analysis of welds of steel structures made of high-strength and weathering steel with HFMI treatment. For these steels, there is little experimental evidence, taking into account in the R-ratio of the cycle asymmetry and also the influence of patina formation on the compressive prestressing level. The objectives of this work will be both experimental testing and numerical analysis of welds with HFMI treatment and parametric studies considering their future behaviour under realistic operating conditions.
