This order is issued as a follow-up to restrictive measures of the Czech Government, respective ministries and other bodies to mitigate the risks of coronavirus infection (contagious viral disease), and based on up-to-date information on the development of the current coronavirus situation; the provisions of this order do not apply in cases where stricter conditions, rules and procedures are set by legal regulations or other binding measures of a higher legal force 1.

  2. This order can be additionally specified by the Faculty Dean. The Vice-Dean for Education, the Vice-Dean for Science and Research and the Faculty Treasurer are entitled to issue methodological instructions to implement this order. Any potential specifications and methodological instructions will be sent to students and employees by email and, at the same time, published on the Faculty website.

  3. This order comes into force on 1.6.2020 and is valid until revoked or amended, and the Faculty is in limited operation during this time.

II. Measures to mitigate risks of infection

The Faculty employees and students are obliged to become familiar, on a daily basis, with current information on the CTU and the Faculty policies in connection with the coronavirus disease, published on the CTU website (CTU website) or on the Faculty website (Faculty website) and abide by the instructions published there; the employees who do not have access to the web interface must be mediated this information by their immediate superiors. Students will mostly be informed by e-mail, but the CTU Study Information System ("KOS") can also be used.

  2. In organizing study and holding examinations, the following regulations apply:
    1. Rector´s Order No. 9/2020 on the organization of study and implementation of examinations at CTU in connection with restrictive measures for the mitigation of risks of infection by coronavirus disease as amended;

  3. The organization of instruction is limited as follows:
    1. Instruction (including examinations) has been replaced, to a maximum possible extent, by contactless teaching (i.e. using online teaching and remote electronic means of communication). Only block teaching of selected courses and field work can be organized as contact instruction. Contact instruction may only be held provided the condition of the presence of no more than 15 students in a group is observed. Exceptions may be granted by the Vice-Dean for Education, including further specifying requirements.
    2. Consultations can be held in a contact format in the Faculty buildings with the presence of no more than 15 students in a group provided the persons offering the consultation agree with it and organize the consultation pursuant to the principles specified in this order. Exceptions may be granted by the Vice-Dean for Education, including further specifying requirements. Consultations must be held in dedicated rooms except for individual consultations (with the presence of only one student).
    3. The Faculty staff member responsible for holding instruction, an examination, consultation, etc. shall provide the Management with the list of persons participating in the event within the group. The list will be kept by the staff member in charge for 60 days from the end of the state of emergency.

  4. Entrance to the Faculty is regulated as follows:
    1. Employees are allowed access to the Faculty via all entrances. To register the persons entering the faculty employees should not let students or visitors inside through side entrances and, at the same time, they should open the door one by one 2.
    2. Students are only allowed access to the Faculty via the main front desk. If the main entrance is not open or if access via a student ID card is not allowed, students must ring the bell and they will be let into the building. The necessity of ringing is a standard precaution that will only be eased in justified cases. A temporary easing is within the responsibilities of the Technical and Operational Services (STPS). Students will be allowed access through the turnstiles by using their student ID card.
    3. Visitors are allowed access into the Faculty for individual visits without prior notice. On entering, the visitor must register at the main entrance where they have their name entered in the visitor register and are picked up by the staff member in charge. He/she is also responsible for the visitor and must escort them out of the Faculty building after the visit. In addition, the access of visitors from abroad is subject to approval by the Faculty Treasurer well in advance.
    4. The entry of visitors participating in mass gathering events (educational activities and other activities organized by the Economic Activity Office, sessions of working groups, etc.) into the Faculty building is allowed and must comply with Art II. par. (5) of this Order. Each reception of a group of visitors must be reported to the Technical and Operational Services (STPS) in advance. It is also necessary to report the staff member in charge, the date and time of holding the event and also what Faculty facilities will be used. On entering, each visitor must register at the main entrance where they have their name entered in the visitor register and are picked up by the staff member in charge or a person authorized by him/her. The staff member in charge is responsible for the visitor and must personally, or via an authorized person, escort the visitors out of the Faculty building after the visit.

The Faculty staff member in charge of holding such an event shall ensure that the list of the persons who have participated in contact teaching or an examination is kept. The list will be filed by the staff member in charge for a period of 60 days from the end of the state of emergency.
    3. Mass gathering events involving more than 15 people can only be held with prior approval by the Faculty Treasurer. The criteria for approving the event are the scale, duration and importance of the event, the number of participants and the possibility of their registration. Specific additional requirements for the organization of the event will be specified by the Faculty Treasurer.
    4. Unless they can be adjourned, the proceedings of the Faculty bodies will be organized as videoconferences or teleconferences, or will use voting by correspondence.
    5. Work is done, to a maximum possible extent, in a contactless format using electronic means of communication.
