RECOGNITION OF COURSES FROM PREVIOUS STUDY

 

In cases stipulated in Art. 13, par. 10 of the Study and Examination Code for Students of CTU in Prague and in the case of transfer to the Faculty of Civil Engineering from another University or from another CTU Faculty, based on a student´s written application, individual courses from previous study are recognized by the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering CTU in Prague under the following conditions:

  • the courses were evaluated by classification grades A, B, C (or equivalent numerical marks),
  • no more than 5 years have passed since the completion of the courses,

 

In the study programmes of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Building Engineering, Building Engineering and Civil Engineering (in English), the first block of Bachelor´s degree study (i.e. courses included in the study plans of 1st and 2nd year of study) is also recognized as a whole under the following conditions:

  • the block of study was completed with a weighted study average not worse than 2.00,
  • the block of study does not include any courses completed more than 5 years ago.

 

The courses or the block respectively, are recognized from the previous study at FCE CTU in Prague, including study of courses within life-long education, at other Faculties of CTU in Prague, or at other Universities.
The application for the recognition of courses is submitted by the student on an official form during registration for the 1st year of study.

The Directive applies to students who started their study at FCE CTU in Prague starting from the 2016/2017 academic year.
