Dean´s Measure No. 11/2021 | Ref.: 11OD/921/2021 |
REGISTRATION FOR THE WINTER SEMESTER OF THE 2021/2022 ACADEMIC YEAR |
I Basic information
II Dates and Registration Procedure
A) 23. 8. (Mon) in IS KOS from 16.00 – 16. 9. 2021 (Thu) in IS KOS until 23.59
Regular Registration Time
During this time, students can take the following steps:
Master´s students are enabled access to the time schedule all at once on 23. 8. from 16.00.
In the Regular Registration Time, students may also register personally at the Student Administration during its office hours.
Students are reminded that the registration ends on Thursday 16. 9.
The students unregistered by 16.9. 2021 will subsequently have their time schedule in IS KOS cancelled. The reason is to free the course time schedule capacities
for registered students.
B) 20. 9. (Mon) – 22. 9. 2021 (Wed) Late Registration outside the preset time
based on a written application submitted to the Student Administration
This Late Registration may only be completed by students personally at the Student Administration and is subject to a charge of Kč 500,- pursuant to the Rector´s Decree No. 3/2021.
Unregistered students will have their study terminated due to the non-fulfilment of their study duties.
C) 20. 9. (Mon) – 1. 10. 2021 (Fri) additional changes in the list of courses and their time schedule
for registered students after the start of instruction
From 1.10. 2021 11.00 a.m., all student´s courses registered in IS KOS become binding regardless of the fact whether a student has or does not have a specific time schedule assigned to them.
III Registration for follow-up courses in IS KOS
Characteristics of a follow-up course: some courses of the study plan (course xxx2) follow up the knowledge of another course (course xxx1). This linkage of individual follow-up courses is listed in the study plans on the website and in the student´s IS KOS.
Regulations for registration for follow-up courses xxx2:
The examination in course xxx1 must be passed at least one day before passing the examination in course xxx2.
This means that if a student does pass the examination in course xxx1, they cannot take the examination in course xxx2 either.
IV Other Important Information
Gradual enabling access to time schedule
Access to the time schedule will be enabled to students gradually in waves, always for a group of students with the highest value of the weighted number of credit points for the last
two semesters.
During processing, KOS automatically assesses the weighted number of credit points for all students who have not been enabled access to the time schedule so far, and enables access
to the time schedule to the following group of students.
The first group with the highest value of the weighted number of credit points will be enabled access to the time schedule on Monday 23.8. after 16.00, and the calculation for the next group
will always run the following day from 3 a.m. All students who have been newly enabled access to the time schedule by the respective afternoon or night data processing are immediately
sent a notification e-mail, i.e. these students already have access to time scheduling available at the moment of receiving the e-mail.
Access will be broken up into 5 waves running from 23.8. to 27.8. From Saturday 28.8., access to the time schedule will be enabled to all students who complied with the conditions for
registration for the next semester.
The weighted number of credit points for each individual student is calculated as the sum of values (4-GRADE)*CREDIT POINTS for all successfully completed courses
(A=1 B=1.5 C=2 D=2.5 E=3 F=4, a credit is entered as 3, courses recognized from previous studies are not evaluated).
Up-to-date information on students´ access to IS KOS is published on the Faculty Computing and Information Centre´s website,
