| Ref. 19OD/921/2020 |
DEAN´S MEASURE No. 19/2020
on a possibility of exceptional cancelation of courses registered in the winter semester of the 2020/2021 academic year
In order to implement Art. 1 para. 6 of the
Dean´s Directive No. 1/2020 for the implementation of Bachelor and Master degree study programmes,
pursuant to Art. 18 para. 4 of the Statute of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague,
I hereby issue the following measure:
Article 1
Subject of amendment
In connection with the fact that further to the
Resolution of the Government of the Czech Republic of 30 October 2020 No. 1112 on the Adoption of Crisis Measures, the personal presence of students in instruction
in Bachelor and Master degree study programmes at the Faculty of Civil Engineering CTU in Prague (hereinafter the Faculty) is forbidden during the instruction time of the winter
semester of the 2020/2021 academic year and distance learning has been introduced to the maximum possible extent, the Faculty Dean hereby allows, on an exceptional basis, full-time
students in Bachelor and Master degree study programmes to cancel their registration for the courses in the winter semester of the 2020/2021 academic year which they do not want to
complete by distance learning.
Article 2
Conditions for exceptional cancellation of registered courses
- Students can cancel any courses they have registered for in the winter semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. The courses, however, can only be cancelled to such
an extent that the student is still left with a sufficient number of credit points registered in the winter semester of the 2020/2021 academic year to meet
the prescribed minimum number of credit points set for the whole academic year to continue their study in the subsequent academic year pursuant to Article 14 of the
Study and Examination Rules for Students of CTU. If a student is unable
to manage obtaining such a number of credit points for the winter semester of the 2020/2021 academic year in the distance learning format, they may use the option of
study interruption in the winter semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, applicable even in the case that they are studying in the first year. The application for interruption
of studies in the winter semester of the 2020/2021 academic year must be submitted no later than by 30.11.2020. The student will then have the registration for all courses
registered in the winter semester of the 2020/2021 academic year cancelled.
- The student applies for course cancellation by e-mail sent to the respective Student Administration officer in charge of their study programme, branch or specialization.
- E-mail subject: Exceptional course registration cancellation
- E-mail content:
- student´s name and surname
- student´s ID number
- study programme, branch or specialization
- codes and names of courses whose registration in the winter semester of the 2020/2021 academic year
is cancelled by the student
- The cancellation of courses may be applied for no later than by 30. 11. 2020.
Later students´ applications for course cancellation will not be accepted. No other applications justified by the distance learning format will be accepted either.
Article 3
Effect
- This measure comes into effect on the day of its announcement.
