Dean´s Order No. 6/2020 | Ref. 6/PD/930/2020 |
THE DEAN´S ORDER No. 6/2020
for mitigating the risks of coronavirus infection in the period from 12. 10. 2020
I. Introductory provisions
- This order is issued as a follow-up to restrictive measures of the Czech Government, respective ministries and other bodies issued to mitigate
the risks of coronavirus (contagious viral disease) infection, and based on up-to-date information on the development of the current coronavirus
situation; the provisions of this order do not apply in cases where stricter conditions, rules and procedures are set by legal regulations or other
binding measures of a higher legal force 1.
- This order can be additionally further specified by the Faculty Dean. The Vice-Dean for Education, the Vice-Dean for Science and Research and the
Faculty Treasurer are entitled to issue methodological instructions to implement this order. Any potential specifications and methodological
instructions will be sent to students and employees by email and, at the same time, published on the Faculty website.
- Exceptions to these rules are permitted by the Dean via the Vice-Dean for Education, the Vice-Dean for Science and Research and the Faculty Treasurer,
unless this order or the methodological instructions stipulate otherwise and the exception is in conflict with a superior regulation.
- The Faculty is in limited operation at the time when this order is in force.
II Measures to mitigate risks of infection
- The Faculty employees and students are obliged to become familiar with up-to-date information on the situation in terms of the CTU and Faculty policies
in connection with the coronavirus disease, published on
the CTU website or on
the Faculty website
and abide by the instructions published there; the employees who do not have access to the web interface must be mediated this information by their
immediate superiors. Students will primarily be informed by email, but the CTU Study Information System ("KOS") can also be used.
- In organizing study and holding examinations, the following regulations apply:
- The Methodological Instruction of the Vice-Dean for Education for the course
of instruction in the winter semester of the 2020/2021 academic year;
- The Methodological Instruction of the Vice-Dean for Science and
Research for the course of doctoral degree studies in the winter semester of the 2020/2021 academic year;
- The Rector´s Order No. 9/2020 on the organization of study and implementation
of examinations at CTU in connection with restrictive measures for the mitigation of risks of infection by coronavirus disease as amended;
- The Rector´s Order on reducing the risk of coronavirus infection (as amended).
- The Faculty operation is regulated by the Methodological Instruction of the Faculty Treasurer
for managing the Faculty in limited operation.
- The Rector´s Orders, the Dean´s Order and methodological instructions work with the so-called "level of alertness" pursuant to the Rector´s
Order on reducing the risk of coronavirus infection. This level results from the current epidemiological situation in Prague and the data published on the CTU website.
The Dean may decide on a transition to a stricter level of alertness.
- General measures:
- If possible, a distance of at least 2 meters between persons must be kept in the Faculty building. This measure can hereinafter be referred to as the "safe
distance" and may be further specified in specific cases.
- Each student and employee is obliged to wash their hands regularly (special disinfectant soap is available at all toilets, not only high-risk surfaces at the Faculty
are consistently and systematically cleaned).
- Hand sanitizer is available at the main entrance.
- In the case of just a common cold, employees should prefer to stay at home and work from home. They will consult this option with their superior who can allow working
from home. In the case of acute health problems consistent with a viral infection (e.g. shortness of breath, cough, fever, etc.), entering the faculty building
and meeting other employees and students is not allowed.
III Final provisions
- This order replaces the FCE CTU Dean´s Order No. 5/2020 for mitigating the risks of coronavirus infection in the period from 21. 9. 2020.
- This order comes into force starting from 12. 10. 2020.
