The Dean´s Directive for Master Degree Study Admission Procedure at FCE CTU in Prague

 

Public announcement of the admission procedure to Master degree study programmes organised by the Faculty of Civil Engineering CTU in Prague in the 2011/2012 academic year.

This Directive complements The Conditions for Admission to Study in Master Degree Study programmes Implemented at the Faculty of Civil Engineering CTU in Prague in the 2011/2012 Academic Year (hereinafter "Conditions for Admission to Study") approved by the CTU Academic Senate on 24.11.2010.

The Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering CTU in Prague hereby opens the admission procedure for the 2011/2012 academic year to the following Master degree study programmes and branches:

II. IMPORTANT DEADLINES

Date for submitting applications for study, including compulsory enclosures31st March 2011
Dates for sending Enclosures No. 1 and No. 2 specified in Art. VI for applicants who had not completed Bachelor study by the date of submitting their applications (not applicable to current students in Bachelor study programmes at FCE CTU):8th July 2011

 

III. PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT OF ADMISSION PROCEDURE RESULTS

The lists of admitted and non-admitted applicants will be put up on the official Faculty board and on the Faculty web site no later than by 31. 7. 2010 together with information on registration for Master degree study.

The decision on admission or non-admission to study will be sent to the applicants by 19. 8. 2011.

The applicant may apply for a review of this decision in writing within 30 days after the delivery of the decision.

 

IV. APPLICATION FORM

Only one study programme may be filled in the application form and, within the selected programme, a choice of no more than two branches of study including specializations if offered by the selected branch.

The applicant may submit more application forms (each of them including all compulsory enclosures) for study in different study programmes.

Procedure of submitting applications for study:

  • Fill in the electronic application form at prihlaska.cvut.cz (applications may be inserted in the database from 1.1.2011 to 31.3.2011.)
  • Print the application form and sign it.
  • Settle the administrative fee for costs related to the admission procedure amounting to 450,- Kč / for each submitted application form in one of the ways specified below.
  • Send the printed and signed application form together with compulsory enclosures by post at the Faculty address or hand it in personally to the Faculty filing room (box marked: applications for Master Study) no later than by 31st March 2011. Mailing address for submitting application forms:

Administrative fee in the admission procedure:

450,- Kč
Data for bank transfer - a proof of payment need not be enclosed to the application form:

After the application form is received by the Faculty and the fee for the admission procedure is transferred to the Faculty bank account, the electronic application will be registered.

Data for payment by postal order (of type A) - a proof of payment must be enclosed to the application form:

The Faculty postal order is available at the Faculty Student Registrar.

          SWIFT code: KOMBCZPPXXX Banking fees related to the transfer of the fee to the Faculty bank account are paid by the applicant.

Once the application for study is registered at the Faculty, the administrative fee cannot be returned.

 

VI. ENCLOSURES TO APPLICATION FOR STUDY
(must be supplied with each submitted application form)

  1. Authenticated copy of the Bachelor degree diploma, not applicable to applicants who currently study at FCE CTU.
  2. Certified copy of the diploma supplement (or transcript of all courses completed in the Bachelor degree study programme, including the results of the state graduation examination, specifying the number of credit units and evaluation achieved certified by the Faculty), not applicable to applicants who currently study at FCE CTU.
  3. Proof of payment of the administration fee for the admission procedure in the case of payment by postal order.
  4. Authenticated copy of a certificate of recognition or validation of the Bachelor degree diploma in the case that the applicant completed Bachelor degree study at a college abroad (not applicable to applicants from the Slovak Republic).
  5. Foreign citizens (excluding applicants from the Slovak Republic) applying for study in a study programme in Czech shall certify their readiness to study in Czech language by submitting a certificate of passing the school-leaving or state examination in Czech, or by a certificate of passing an examination in Czech at min. A1 level according to the "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages"".
  6. Applicants for study in the study programme in English shall certify their readiness to study in English language by completing a Bachelor degree study programme in English or by submitting a certificate of a school-leaving or state examination in English, or by a certificate of passing an examination in English at min. A1 level according to the "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages".
