Abstract(semestr B232)
The course brings an integrative approach to structural wood design that considers the design of the individual wood members in the context of the complete wood structure so that all of the structural components and connectors work together in providing strength.
Content 
1. Development of wooden structures, wood, and wood-based materials, basics of design.
2. Loading, design, and assessment of structural elements, design of basic types of load-bearing structures.
3. Advanced connection design.
4. Modeling of timber structures.
5. Stability of load-bearing structures.
6. Advanced design of planar wooden structures.
7. Spatial wooden structures.
8. Skeletal wooden constructions and constructions of wooden constructions.
9. Construction of trusses.
10. Wooden bridges and footbridges.
11. Reconstruction of timber structures
12. Protection of timber structures.
13. Design of structures for the fire situation.
