Master degree programme Civil Engineering aims to raise engineers fully qualified for complex design of buildings. It focuses in particular on concrete, steel, masonry or timber load-bearing structures, construction of foundations and structural dynamics. It allows a selection of projects and optional courses based on the student´s area of professional interest.


  • One-and-a-half-year (three semesters) Master degree study
  • Covers fundamental tasks of load-bearing structures and construction of foundations
  • Complex structural design project in each semester
  • Optional courses offered in each semester
  • Student-selected individual final project lasting the whole semester

Career prospects:

The graduates of the Programme of Civil Engineering will be employed primarily as:
  • Designers of building structures
  • Concrete, steel, timber and masonry structural engineers

  • In the development and testing of building materials
The programme is organised to prepare the graduates to become members of the Czech Chamber of Chartered Engineers and Technicians.
