| This is a basic physics course in the English language for students of the study programmes Civil Engineering; Management and Economics in Construction. The course is also open to students from other CTU faculties within the Erasmus programmes. The course focuses on mechanics and basic thermodynamics. The following areas are covered in the course: Mechanics of material points (particles) and deformable bodies. Discrete and continuous model of matter. Kinematics and dynamics of a material point (particle). Mechanical force fields. Gravitational field. Mechanical vibrations. Material deformation. Elastic waves. Acoustics. Hydromechanics. Fundamentals of thermodynamics. Heat transfer. |
